Sturgis and Deadwood-Lead, SD

Today's adventure was to Sturgis and Deadwood-Lead, SD.  Now, most of these photos are self-explanatory, but I will jump in when I need to for a narrative....in other words, mainly touristy photos...So enjoy....And here we go....lol

And now for us Zak Brown Band fans. They were in town, but we only saw their BUS RV...

Now onto Deadwood - Lead, SD
This week is "76" celebration with parades, rodeo, etc.....but we did stay for that.  We just walked around touring...So here's the sights of Main St. Deadwood.

Dock won $7.50 here.....I donated $20.....lol

And finally we had lunch at Lewie's Saloon in Lead....

Like this Bike!!

 And these pigs are cute!!!

And just for fun....this little beauty came in the campground here right after we got back from our adventure this afternoon.

This weekend we plan to just tootle around Rapid City, maybe do a little shopping, but I'm sure I'll have the camera with me and will report anything of interest....lol...

Spinner's SD Adventure....Custer State Park

Hello, Spinner, here...

Well the "Hoomans" here decided that I needed an outing so I got to go today....I always like to ride in the truck so was very excited about getting out of the house and when they told me we were going to see "Wild Critters", I was ready to go.....

We left about 8am and headed to Custer State Park....the ride there was interesting to look at out the window, but we didn't stop for me to sniff it..

While "Mommy-Dog" was getting a map of the park, "Daddy-Dog" got me out to sniff and  pee, he and I saw this...

I promised the folks I wouldn't bark, so I just looked ....

We drove for a little while and then we had to stop....I always like when we stop and I get to look out the windows...Boy, don't ya' know I was surprised to see this!!!

And there were more!!!

They told me these critters are called Buffalo...but they look like weird looking cows to me...but I didn't bark.....I just Growled....REALLY LOUD!!!!

Then we drove some more...

Saw some critters that looked like deer to me, but Daddy dog said they were Antelope..

I only growled a little...

Then we came upon some critters that looked like weird horses, but Mommy-dog said they were Burros or Donkeys....What EVER!!!

We drove some more....and I'm a looking out the windows at the sights....then the truck stops, one of the hoomans rolled down a window and said, "There's some Prairie Dogs!"  Now I always wanted to meet some western cousins, but all I could see was piles of dirt and critters that looked like big "chipmunks"...then I heard it.....a SQUEAK!!   Just like a squeaky toy....oh, boy, oh boy....did I ever want to get out and chase them....and dig, but I promised to behave myself, so I just looked and "Woofed" really soft..

Daddy-dog took the Prairie Dog pictures....so ya' got to look carefully...

We drove some more and saw some more of those Antelope Critters...

It took us about 45minutes to an hour, but I sure did have fun...and I was such a "good Boy" I got extra "doggy-treats" when I got home...

To my 4-legged friends, Herschel, Remi, Stuart, Guinness & Rosco, hope you enjoyed my Adventure....and of course all you "Hooman" friends out there, too....
