Modes of Camping/Rving Over the Years...LOL..

Today, we returned to Cody toured the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum.  Took lots of photos of displays and items of interest (which I have already posted on Facebook), but while looking around I discovered a theme in my photos other than animals....Different Modes of Camping/Rving in the Wild West...and thru the years...

First, we have camping....the comforts of home for the fur traders and all those who came west on foot or horse back.  And later by the cowboys & others....

Then it was the pioneers...

Then it was by stage coach, which had sleeping options of staying at way-stations, hotels, but, they also use the tent in photo 1, too...

With the advent of the horseless carriage and the Model T, folks traveled in early "RV" style...

Since then, there have been many models and variations on the RV....from travel trailers of the 1950s, the onset of the van-conversion into Class Bs, Class Cs, and of course the Class As...We, personally, still use "horse power" to haul our  "wagon"....

And as like folks before us, looking to the western horizon, for adventure, vistas, and places which still hold the best of days gone by...
